GAME AND ACTIVITY ON 0-3 MONTHS OLD BABIES

Babies are very open to perceiving and learning the world from the day they are born.

Among the daily routines of babies trying to get to know their bodies and their environment, the thing that develops and entertains them the most is undoubtedly games.

Play is the most important activity for the baby's physical, social and language development. Stage-appropriate activities, accompanied by parents, entertain babies and support their development.

Newborn Activities

Every moment spent with the baby is an important opportunity to create a strong bond between parent and baby. Actions such as communicating with your baby while changing his diaper, feeding him and bathing him, telling him what you are doing, touching, caressing and massaging are valuable activities to strengthen this bond.

Communicate with your baby:

During the newborn period, it is important to talk to your baby, establish eye contact, and interact in a calm tone of voice. This forms the basis of secure attachment.

Contact with soft touches:

Contact your baby with soft touches while taking care of him. This stimulates your baby's senses and helps him develop a sense of trust in you.
Encourage him to follow the toy: Attract your baby's attention by making him follow a toy or your finger with his eyes.
Rattles and mobiles: Use toys that make noise to attract your baby's attention. These types of toys stimulate your baby's senses and contribute to his development.

1 Month Old Baby Activities

In this month, the baby begins to develop body control and becomes more aware of its environment. A one-month-old baby is ready for activities and games.

Contact with the baby:

Keep talking to your baby while feeding or caring for him. Hold your baby on your lap or lie next to him, make eye contact, talk to him and sing to him. This increases the interaction between you and your baby and contributes to the development of trust and attachment.

Spending time in supine and prone positions:

Help your baby strengthen different muscle groups by placing him in supine and tummy positions regularly.
Smile: When your baby starts smiling, respond with a smile. This helps you connect emotionally with him.

2 Month Old Baby Activities

Developing motor skills:

While your baby is lying on his back, attract his attention by making various sounds and encourage him to turn his head left and right. Contribute to the development of your baby's neck and back muscles.
Interacting with toys and exploring hands: Increase your baby's interaction with a variety of toys to develop his hands and reaching ability. Rattles worn on the wrists will be a good help in this regard.

3 Month Old Baby Activities

Language development:

3 months is a period when babies' sensitivity to sound increases. Babies now begin to react more clearly to sounds and can respond to these sounds by making various sounds. Be sensitive to the sounds your baby makes, chat with him and imitate the sounds he makes.

Different textures:

You can introduce different textures to your baby starting from this month to improve his sense of touch.
Bath time: Interact with your baby while bathing him/her, repeat the procedures you do out loud, explain them and give your baby a pleasant experience.
